Pond5 Publishing: Is it a bad thing?

Pond5 has announced a new, free service that will generate incremental revenue : Pond5 Publishing.

When you register your tracks with Pond5 Publishing, they will collect performance royalties on your behalf.

But, they are also adjusting the share of license revenue to align with the industry standard for a non-exclusive marketplace, from 50% to 35%.

Is it a bad thing?
