Have you ever started to write a piece of music only to delete it before you can develop it?

How do you know if what you are composing has the potential for something great? Well you will never know unless you develop your initial idea further.

The process of writing music is rather simple, you just need to trust your intuition, what emotions you want to evoke and most importantly, you need to trust your ears.

At the end of the day you only need a chord progression, a melody and rhythm to make music. And there are only so many notes and combinations.

The art of writing music has a lot to do with turning a simple idea, or a bad idea into something great.

You can only accomplish this by writing a lot of music.

Most of your musical ideas will be bad, but you can still work on them until they sound good.
